Identify A Stroke !!

A friend sent this to me and encouraged me to post it and spread the word. I’m pretty sure that it has appeared on the internet already and you may well have already seen it. I have no idea who the author was but I do think that it merits further publication. The more people who see it, the better !!

Time Is Short

On Friday I received a phone call from a pal I hadn't seen in a while. He asked me if I'd seen Peter recently, who was another friend. I hadn't actually, Peter and I usually met up in the pub (bar) every now and again but not a regular basis. He would phone me or I would phone him and we'd meet up or we would just bump into each other while we were out. We are good friends and the same age, so at 50 years of age we do our own thing, get involved with other things, you know how it is, busy thi…

In response to the link provided in an email... You cited that you live with a many medical problems w/o medications for the last 20years. I can only assume that you were trying to make me feel better or tell me that living with pain can be accomplished.
I can only hope that you were trying to make me feel better! I know what it’s like living with pain… I’ve lived with it all my life! However; there is one gross difference between the 2 of us….
You have a diagnosis! Many of my medical problems have never been diagnosed! I, DO NOT have a diagnosis! Not for most of the medical problems I have had to live with all my life!
I have learned to live with it as best I can but, the toll its taking on me is getting tremendous! Now with these lumps hurting so badly all the time it only makes living every minute even more painful… on top of all the other things I have learned to live with for 52 years!!
At least you know what your problems are! I have to guess at mine! Perhaps you could help…..
I have this swollen mass on my left side, under my ribs and another swollen mass just to the other side of my heart… under my right ribs… and together I feel them squishing my heart when they are both irritated at the same time! This in turn, makes my heart beat erratically. And these episodes can last for hours at a time! At times I’d be sitting in my chair wondering if there was someway for me to shock my heart back into the right beat, before I die! I’ve lost count of how many times this happens.
I would say…. I have severely enlarged liver and spleen… which my Dr. has ignored for almost 3.5 years! How am I supposed to live with that!??? I have no choice… I have to live with it!
There is a big difference in having a diagnosis and making an informed decision about treating (or in your case… not treating) your problem as opposed too… not knowing what you have! And being made to live with things that could and should have been taken care of along time ago!
I am glad you can live with your medical problems and I really mean that. All I want is what you have…. A diagnosis.
